Introduction

Working with very large engineering datasets has emerged as a critical requirement for our customers who have previously worked with spreadsheet and small database applications to analyze data. Engineers and their hardware are quickly overwhelmed with the volumes of data collected during the engineering test process. Methods and tools are needed to efficiently ingest and store these massive datasets while allowing the engineer direct access to the data visually. Tellus utilizes its core database engine (previously used for storing geospatial data) to apply to engineering data with great success. Data can be displayed using layered strip charts for data comparison and analysis. Data functions can be performed for data calibration, correction, removal of bad data points, statistical analysis, and more. Tellus also interfaces with SQL Server, MatLab or other tools to provide the user with a solution path for their data analysis and storage needs.
